At the heart of CASA’s mission is a goal to protect public health and the environment. CASA acts as a resource for its members by advocating environmental stewardship via its programs and services. Most of CASA’s work happens within the framework of the committees and environmental stewardship has taken a leadership role in understanding and promoting sustainability through its various areas of interest, such as:
- Biosolids
- Climate Change
- Water Quality
- Fats, Oils, and Grease
- Mercury
- Pharmaceutical Disposal
- Flushable Wipes
- Sewer Laterals
Each of these efforts proactively monitors potential impacts to the public and the environment and works toward preventing environmental vulnerabilities.
