Jeff Moorhouse has been a member of the Carpinteria Sanitary District Board of Directors since 1997. Jeff is a Certified Financial Planner™ and Financial Advisor with Moorhouse Financial Services, Inc. located in Carpinteria. Jeff is a committed community servant – he is a Board member of the Carpinteria Lions Club, member of the Carpinteria Masonic Lodge and an assistant coach for the Carpinteria High School Warriors Football team. Jeff currently serves on the Carpinteria High School Alumni Association formation Committee helping to establish the organization as a non-profit organized to benefit local education endeavors. He has served on the Board of Carpinteria Valley Chamber of Commerce (past President), Carpinteria Education Foundation Board (past President) and numerous other community groups. Jeff is currently a member and Chief Financial Officer for the California Avocado Festival. In 2009 Jeff joined the Carpinteria Relay for Life and currently serves as the accounting/finance chair. In 2010 Jeff was elected as a Commissioner to the Santa Barbara Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) and currently serves as the Vice Chair. Also in 2010 Jeff was elected to the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara County Special District Association.

Jeff is the Secretary of the Carpinteria Sanitary District Board and a Chairman of the Public Relations and Personnel Committees. Jeff also serves as Chairman of the California State Legislative Committee for CASA. In addition, Jeff was appointed to the California Sanitation Risk Management Authority (CSRMA) Finance Committee. Jeff is a Harley Davidson enthusiast, enjoys riding, and is an Instrument Rated Private Pilot.
