Beginning in 1996, the California Association of Sanitation Agencies Awards Program has recognized exceptional achievements in clean water services, programs and projects.

2013 CASA Achievement Awards Application

Eligibility & Criteria

Active member agencies and associate members may submit applications for one or more categories, but may not submit more than one application per category. For categories, where the project involves both an agency and an associate member, the application shall include both so that CASA can recognize all participants.
The awards recognize the valuable support provided by public wastewater agencies and professionals by demonstrating exemplary performance in the following criteria:

  • Outstanding Capital Project
  • The distinction between large and small agencies is based upon the number of Full Time Employees (FTEs) of the member agency.  The Awards Committee will determine the threshold number of employees for each category depending upon nominations submitted.

    Schedule

    January-March: Announcements regarding the Awards Program to get members thinking about eligible submittals
    April-June: Solicit Applications from members; deadline June 21, 2013
    July: Awards Committee Evaluation Review and Selection Process
    August: Award Recipients are announced at the Annual Conference
    Applications are accepted online and submitted in pdf format

    Notification

    The Awards Committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients.  The Committee is composed of last year’s winners and will meet in late June or early July to evaluate and select the recipients.  If a nominated program is selected for an Achievement Award, the contact person on the application will be notified regarding the judges’ decision. Recipients will be announced at the awards ceremony in August during the Annual Conference.  Award-winning programs or projects may be featured on future conference programs, acknowledged in CASA’s newsletters and showcased on www.casaweb.org.
