State Legislation
CASA’s State Legislative Committee, along with the State Lobbyist, develop the annual legislative platform on issues affecting CASA members. CASA actively participates in the legislative arena on the wide range of issues that positively, negatively, or potentially affect our membership. Every year thousands of bills are introduced in the Legislature, many of which have a direct impact pm our agencies’ wastewater operations, public works contracts, open meetings laws, and many other cutting-edge issues including biosolids and energy. CASA reviews, takes positions on and closely monitors legislation of interest to our membership.
